Well guys it was close tonight I’ll give you the short story.

Had him out in the field tending a doe. Watched
them for close to 40 minutes browsing out in the pasture. Finally the doe started to move but she was going the wrong way. So I decided I was throwing the kitchen sink at him. I started to snort wheeze and hitting the bag. He wasn’t quite sure so I gave him more. Then the doe turned and came on a line through one little opening in the back of this cedar tree I was sitting in. He stopped maybe 2 yards short of the opening and stood there for 5 minutes. The doe decided she wasn’t sticking around and took off.

Man I got history with this deer I’d like to think after tonight the record is 0-4-1 and he’s lucky there was a tie!

First one is 3 years ago I have older ones on a external drive in my house somewhere from 4 years ago and he was a solid 10 then. Maybe I’ll dig them up. Second is 2 years ago. 3rd is 2 years ago but I shot him with my camera instead of my bow(that’s where I get the tie). Next two are last year and his sheds.

It will come together wakecow. That’s a nice buck.

I went back out yesterday afternoon. Had a buck at 60 yards. Looked like an 8 point. Nothing huge but I was going to take him if the opportunity was there. I grunted. He came to 30 yds. He was facing me and in the thick. I needed him to turn and take 5 or so steps into my lane. I hear crashing behind to my left. I hear whatever is making the noise jump the creek. I’m thinking all right another buck maybe? The 8 pt takes off and I see this stupid black dog chase the buck, the dog then proceeds to run the entire woods I’m hunting yelping. Not sure who’s dog it was but it was frustrating

In the stand for the first morning sit of the year and close to bedding area... just about shooting light and I’ve already had 2 bucks come through grunting and chasing a doe

I work 11 pm to 7 am tonight then I am off for the next 4 days and will be hunting hard! Crossing fingers for a HOSS to walk by. I will flop my trail camera cards tomorrow night after the evening hunt. I will post anything up that is worthy of posting. We shall see. Good luck Team!

Did not hunt this morning. Washing my clothes and heading down to my cabin for the week this afternoon. Hoping to give a brute a dirt nap!

This tree line was hot this weekend lots of buck pics night and day. I probably should have hunted over there but I was preoccupied with Houdini.

Wake what Covert Cam do you have. I am looking into getting a few more cams. I had Coverts before and loved them but the last batch I got they did not last long and died. I am not really thrilled with the Trophy Cams at all. Looking for a few that take good pictures but won't break the bank either.

These are all blackout wireless cell cams they are getting sunsetted this year because they are 3G. Need to replace them all. My friends have been getting those micros spypoints and they’ve been happy with them so far. Picture quality isn’t great but the price is.

For static cameras I like Brownings a lot!

Only saw one doe but hear some chasing in the thicket. When I left at dark I saw a nice 8 run into the harvested corn field with a couple does about 1/2 mile from my stand. I then flopped my trail camera cards and this is what I have so far. To bad I was not in the stand on the one buck that passed through one morning. I will be out in the AM so hope he repeats in the morning.

Didn’t hunt this morning due to heavy rain, no washer or dryer down here so I’d prefer to stay dry as long as I can lol. Also have some work to do around the cabin. I’ll be out in the evening
