    On my way out the door this morning my wife said to my daughter " tell dad you hope he gets a big buck" and she goes "but he never gets a big one". Haha I love the brutal honesty.

    I'm in and settled. Totally forgot about DST so I'm an hour late. Jumped a couple right by the blind, but they didn't blow me up. I have a river on 2 sides and fresh scrapes & rubs 27 yards in front of me. Bucks have to cruise this point to scent check bedding on any south wind.

    I'm down with that. There is the loudest grunting I've ever heard going on but it's down wind of me. I've been grunting back this thing is roaring

    Made it in. Ankle and knee injuries from the past are in full effect today and I made a lot of noise coming in walking all stiff legged. Gonna try some rattling today. Never had any luck, but who knows!

    I hung this stand last year for the rut but never hunted it because you need any type of East wind. SE today so I'm pretty excited to hunt it. There is a scrape line on this logging road that wraps around a doe befding area and corn behind me. Its either going to be excellent or slow.

    Yesterday was a fantastic day for the guys on here. Lets have a repeat today! Im grabbing some brunch with the misses and gearing up to get my daughter a new car since she totalled the other one two weeks ago. Back at it tomorrow.

    This is the buck I am hunting. He was all over the place last week on camera but the last 5 fays no big bucks have been on camera.

    Well it's only 705. I feel like I'm in the wrong spot. Ended up sitting in one of my uncle's stands instead of taking the climber like I originally planned. After hearing that buck earlier I feel I need to set up down farther on the hill. I'll give it a little while longer then back to the jeep for the climber.

    Good buck moved through the thick stuff in front of me. Wasn’t impressed with my grunts.

    Sorry to hear about your situation earlyin. No doubt that sucks. I love this ground I’m privileged to hunt. But like everything else I know that it will betaken from me some day.
