Saw one this morning. Went into a new area blind and intended to hunt a saddle that I found on the topo. As it turned out the road bisecting the WMA ran right through that saddle. Glad I went in after first light, or I would have been bumbling in the dark.

Next opportunity for me will be tomorrow afternoon - maybe. But definitely Sunday morning.

Good lick those that are out!

Could have shot any of the 3 deer I seen today. 2 1/2 8pt, a yearling doe and a buttonbuck. The doe was too small, and if by chance she actually was the button's mom, decided the button buck had had enough trauma. He had a 4 inch scar on top of his head that Y'ed off for an additional 2". Thinking either barbed wire or bobcat got him as a fawn.

West winds just don't work for normal hunting, didn't see anything that made me think mature bucks were day walking yet. Usually will see one or two whether it's 50 or 200yds away.

I'll be back out the 7th thru the 17th. I have all the time in the world

tonight after putting kids to bed I drive down to cabin to enjoy my week off of work and try to get a buck.
my spypoint camera is depressing when it comes to bucks but I think the main travel routes in our timber have changed due to outside factors.

Weather looks like it is going to cooperate, Im 50% packed and 100% excited, and hopeful the standing corn is down

Was out this morning and saw nothing other than squirrels and other hunters. Another new area for me, hunting the edge of a swamp.

I got a early start yesterday, set up in a new spot. Had couple of does come in, never got into range. For a first sit it wasn't a total bust. Hope to be back at this coming weekend. Good luck Neb!

Back to the front page for us.

Shoot what you want, make sure it is legal and ethical.

Don't let a competition or peer pressure dictate your choice.

    Shoot for you, not us.

Enjoy the moment(s) of the hunt.

I've filed an official protest on team 3's behalf.

I think we should all be held to the same standards. Cheaters in life are cheaters regardless.

new arrows will same as current easton axis 5mm 300 spine, will be about 509gr total, bright pink wrap with 2 pink tiger fletchings and 1 white.

ill head back this evening to pick them up.
