Here's what I read when people go on rants about crossbows...

"I hate crossbows because they bring more hunters into the woods, and thus a greater chance that someone is going to shoot "my" deer that I'm hunting. And I don't want people shooting "my" deer! Plus, I don't think I would like shooting a crossbow because it's lame and not at all challenging, so nobody else should be able to hunt with one either. Because everyone should be just like me.

PS - I've never shot or hunted with a crossbow, nor have any of my close hunting buddies. So I really have no personal experience or reason for my bias. I've mostly formed my opinion from anecdotal stories that I read online or heard 3rd hand through a friend of a friend who also happens to hate crossbows and people who use them."

That's a negative, Ghost Rider. I shot her on a private leased farm over a food plot from a ladder stand. AND she was quartering-to when I did it. 'Twas a grand adventure. I could literally hear the panties riding up all across the country as I pulled the trigger. :chewy:

Public land saddle hunters are far too hardcore to use crossbows.

Everyone’s got an opinion! Most blow the initial context way out of proportion after the first or second page. Such as this thread. Even to the point they get angry and start acting like the individual who started it was personally talking about them.

It is funny to read/watch people’s reactions. But give it a rest.

I really don’t care what anyone uses to hunt. As long as we all have deer to hunt. if it caused deer numbers to fall then i would expect a adjustment in the seasons , weather it was changing xbow, vertical bows, guns seasons. Its sad that crossbow guys have to feel ashamed to pull there weapon out either in the field or at the archery range. Had one of the head guys at my gun club come check on me to see if i was shooting a real bow and not some crossbow. Said no just my compound bow I can’t shoot a recurve to save my life. Met a guy at the public hunting grounds first word out of his mouth after i said hi was I’m really disabled that why i have a crossbow. Its really sad. were all on the same team. We need more hunters This is how are sport/life style will live on. There are bad hunter’s and good hunter’s no matter what weapon your using.

Excuse me, sir? This is a crossbow debate. There is no room for reason or logic here. We are fueled by emotion, anger and fear mongering.

Wtf are you talking about!!!!?;&$& it's ppl like you that help advance the use of the crossgun and ultimately kill the compound. Crossbows can accurately kill at distances far exceeding rational compound users dreams. Plus my buddy can cock it and toss it up to me in the stand. A 4x12x50 easily mounts so missing isn't even a option hence taking the fun out of the sport completely.
AND I heard that every time you use one GOD makes a pedofile. l0Iy5Fezs0vZyQkkU.gif
