    Heading out to the blind for the evening. 36 degrees and drizzling. Heavier rain is supposed to move in after 8pm. Hopefully this weather will get one of the big boys on his feet early!

    I am waiting so impatiently ever day I get home from work I walk past openings in the woods where I hunt and I just want to see one of the big guys standing there! I have a feeling there will be a week stretch where we just start laying them down.

    i'll be evenings until second week in november then i'll be off all week. my wife is now a big boss at the bank so it's really cutting into my hunting. was hoping she was going to get back from rochester early enough for me to get out but didn't happen. she needs to get another job!

    Had a couple different groups of does and fawns come in but they never came into range. One doe still had twins that nursed off of her. Over all it was a good hunt.

    Must’ve had a couple late Hatcher’s out of her this year. Things will be heating up this week in northern Illinois. 3-6 inches of snow coming the next 48 hours!

    I've tried not to stress about it for a year, but my taxidermist just called to say my cape is still looking iffy. He just wanted to warn me again in case he can't save it. Eff!

    We're thinking the processor didn't get it cooled fast enough. I had to put him on ice the first night, but that shouldn't have been enough to spoil the cape. The taxi is pulling out all his tricks...
