I've been out the last few days , nothing spectacular, but I have seen a buck or two all be little 4 PT's. Or in the field as I'm driving down the long driveway. They're coming from across the road into the green field / drive way. Another Hunter showed up today across the road so maybe he will push them out and over to my piece of heaven.
I hunted 2 hours Saturday morning saw 2 does, a 8 points and a buck 5 points one side and other side nothing about 15 yards, no shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ill be back out tomorrow morning, then i take the wife to the airport , she is going to visit a friend in KY. i will be hunting none stop Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat from 7 am to 7 pm. give it or take a few minutes
Same here! Going to put the time in and go hard from tomorrow to Sunday and see if I can piece something together and catch one on their feet in the daylight! Good luck guys!
Sorry i haven't been real active, only been out once myself. Building a new house is not fun and never ending!! I start my rutcation this friday and will be hunting a lot more. On a good note my son finally connected on his first true trophy buck sunday evening just below the house in our main food plot. I was so happy for him because he's worked so hard at it and passed a lot of up and comers the last few years. I got way more joy out of him shooting it than I ever could have if I would of shot him myself!!
Awesome buck, congrats to your son! Got busted by a decent 8 point yesterday around 5:00, wife started texting me asking me some questions and low and behold i hear a stick break behind be and I turned to look and he was looking right up at me. Rained out this morning with high winds, if I get a break in the weather later I'll try to head out if not back at it tomorrow.
I'm out in the rain, not for much longer. I had 2 close encounters with 2 different does last night If there is a break in the storm I'll head back out if not tomorrow in the am 30s tomorrow, 60 + today
I was able to get out for the first time on a new piece of public land on Tuesday. I did end up seeing a doe and a small buck. He was chasing her all around this overgrown field. The closest they came was maybe 50 yards. Planning on heading back there again the second weekend of November.
