I sat a full day, the buck sign was blowing up. Rubs and scrapes everywhere. I saw a doe early in morning, and heard deer behind me but they never came in front to get a shot off. I tried grunting a couple times, but no action. Seems like it will be a solid rut. I'm heading back Nov. 1 with my son, and I would like to get him a deer, so if it's brown and is legal, it's getting an arrow.
Yesterday morning I had 4 doe come in and one presented me with a shot. Deer 1, me 0. I did put the recurve up and have the ol Mathews out. I’ll be going Friday morning if it isn’t raining.

Sorry, posted in LFTS... Had 4 does and 3 fawns and a spike come through tonight. 20 minutes later had a nice wide 9 come through that I thought about taking a shot at. Hit my trail about 25 yards out and hung out there for about 10 minutes. While watching him I caught a glimpse of a big 10 that is probably the 2nd biggest deer I've seen on this property, ever. The 3 bucks ive seen not really chasing. Just kind of staying close to the does around the property. Friday is supposed to be a huge drop in temps. Might hunt Friday night and Saturday morning. Saturday sfternoon were going out of town for a family birthday party. Not sure about Sunday yet. With the few chances I get to hunt, I was kicking myself all weekend about not shooting the wide 8pt. I posted picture of him earlier, can't tell if he's an 8 or 9. Doesn't matter, should have taken a shot. That bigger buck I saw behind him saved him. I told myself when I started getting pictures of him that he was mature and unique and if I had an opportunity, he's the one. Still can't stop thinking about it. I apologize for not being in in a few days. I’ve been extremely busy here at work. The bucks are chasing pretty good around my area so I’m hoping to go out in the morning.

I took Friday off work and will sit all day. Swapped cards out yesterday. Found 2 brand new scrapes all within 30 yards of my stand. Camera shows alot of morning traffic (does and bucks) between 6am and 9:30. Should I be in the stand by 5? Maybe earlier? The biggest buck on that camera was coming through between 6:50 and 7:30 last couple days. Rain today and heavy rain tomorrow. Friday morning at 5am it is supposed to be 33° out. man i have not been having any luck at all. Been seeing deer but either it is just out of range or it is some yearling that I am not gonna shoot.

A little update from me, this past Thursday I got a shot a big buck. Unfortunately I missed judged the distance and shot right under him. I’m back here this morning hoping for round two. I’ll let y’all know how I do.
