as title says, lets list items we've found that fill needs during hunting season that arent "hunting" items

for example, my best heavy layer Ive found is Duluth trading shoreman fleece. i have a zip up jacket and a zip up vest
double thick, wind proof super warm

    even come in talls

want a fancy ozone bag but dont want to spend $200
i have a 27? quart thick plastic storage tote, throw a throw and go ozone generator in there with lid on and works like a charm, i now have a portable ozone storage unit for around $40

I also use the Duluth shoreman fleece jacket. Those things are amazingly warm. Can find them pretty cheap during off season sales, think I paid less than $50 for each of mine. Wife stole it one day, loved it so I bought her a couple for Christmas last year just I could get mine back.

Took family to Florida On vacation this summer. Found some non slip material they use on surf boards, boat decks, jet skis. Has 3M adhesive on the back. Bought a 3’x3’ section for $20. Cut it into strips and put it on my climber stand foot platform to silence it and add some traction. Had enough to do 2 other stands as well. I have no idea what brand it is or even what the proper name for it is. It appears to be very similar material to “stealth strips” sold for the same purpose.

I would have added this if you didnt. I used them for everything. I hunt mainly out of a ground blind and i use them to hold the windows up or down as needed. Use them to hold gear off the ground or even as a gun rest if im still hunting and find a spot id like to set up for a while.

I have a telescoping boat hook, it works great for catching the strap when you throw it around a tree.

    Cut skull cap/horns off.

Jet sled: ice fishing sled that I use to haul deer/ equipment out of the woods.

Empty pill bottle stuffed w cotton and small hole drilled in bottom. Pull tufts of cotton out of hole to use as wind checker.

Hand warmers. Not sure how many ‘extra’ stand hours they have given me but it’s been a lot!
