Got 8 hours in the tree today and saw 3 does this morning. They managed to keep brush in between us until they walked off. Back at it tomorrow.

Getting ready to head out for my first morning hunt. Going to where I had the encounter with the big buck a couple weeks ago.

Frustrating morning. Drove back to where I normally park and there is two campers and at least 6 trucks. So moved on to a different location. Didn't see anything. Sitting at my dining room table on my laptop trying to plan my afternoon hunt. Good luck to everyone else getting out!

Didn't make it out today. Went to bed last night and couldn't stay warm for some reason, woulda thought was in a ice box ha. Woke up to go out and still didn't feel it so stayed in. Idk what it was but throughout day I've been feeling better. Gonna try it again in morning.

    Good luck guys

I'm all set up. Running late like usual for morning sits but I'm here. Nice cold calm morning.

Had four doe earlier messing around behind me. Had shot at smaller one at 25 yards but passed hoping the biggest of 4 would give shot. Never did tho. Gonna give it little more for this morning then head in and try get out this afternoon early.

Had a big 9 come in this morning like he was reading the script. Just needed a couple more steps when he heard some joggers and got jumpy. He turned and cautiously walked back the way he came. Tried a few grunts to get him back but no dice. Awesome encounter though.

Nope. Four deer total for me this weekend but no shots. That closes out the park hunt. Not sure I’d do this one again, it was incredibly slow for all 24 guys in there.

Which park is he in, if you don't mind sharing? That was the last weekend for me so back to pounding the WMAs around me. Thinking I'm going to drive down to Rochester this weekend though to try it out down there.

I think it is Poplar Lake in Ramsey County. You could always come over to Wisconsin

I've always thought about hunting Wisconsin but haven't done so yet. Maybe one of these years.

I've got Friday off again to hunt. Last weekend before the gun opener here so hoping the get into some rutting type action.

My season begins at 6:59am tomorrow morning.

Got over 2" of snow today, a bit less where I hunt but still enough to open visibility up a bit.
