Deer are tough creatures

    If I didn’t see the doe walking with it’s guts dragging on the ground, two hrs later get jumped from where she was bedded and run through a field, jump barbwire twice and leave guts on both wires, then run again...
    I would not have believed it.
    SUPER tough animal. And tasty

    What a nasty way die
    It didn't have to be a hard quartering shot. It could have been a good aim with a deer that moved. Why I avoid the quartering shot, broadside.

    My aunt in Ohio used to see a buck missing half of his right front leg. She watched him and said he got around OK.

    I'd bet borrowed money that deer dies from infection. It is amazing what they can endure though.
