Hi, I am a brand new bow hunter and am trying to learn and hunt on my own. Unfortunately, I do not know anyone else who bow hunts and honestly have no idea where to start as far as where to go. I recently went through the course and got my license. I have a 2009 model Diamond bow tech compound as well as a Parker terminator crossbow. other than that I honestly have no idea where to start as far as finding a place to hunt or guides in the area. I am working on having the bow and cross bow tuned and then I will work on sighting them in. If anyone could reach out to me who may be willing to help me out or direct me to a guide. So far this site has a lot of great information.

There is a few guys on here that hunt NJ. I can't speak to it much. But I don't believe you need a guide service. Start with map (s) ei huntstand app gives you 10 free looks a month and find property owners and or public. And start knocking on doors. Once you have land to hunt, get out there and make mistakes.

Welcome welcome I'm from North NJ hunt Passaic and Middlesex county. NJ public lands can be difficult to figure out hard on the legs and frustrating. But one of the only good things about NJ besides Taylor ham is our vast public lands open to hunting.
