As last resort, before starving to death. People had been eating cats'nd dogs after the war. But you need to bring coyotes over to Europe first.
The Lewis & Clark expedition bought or traded for dogs from the various tribes and got to the point they preferred it to venison or elk. Coyotes? Only as a last resort. FWIW, I met a Polish fellow who was a prisoner in Siberia after WWII. They ate rats to survive...whatever it takes. Anyone ever hear about the Donner party?

Yes I plan on trying the next one I shoot. Smother in bbq sauce and brown sugar in a crock pot on low for 8 hours and then shred the meat for sliders
