Finally got a break in the crappy weather we've been having in NW MN.
I felt like I HAD to be in a stand tonight for no other reason than it just felt right.
Had to endure a grueling long walk through a muddy field and was quite tired but it was a superb/ pleasant sit even though I did not see a deer.
Clear sky, no wind and temps low 40' s.
Evenings I like mid to high 30' s.
Mornings, nothing beats a clear, calm sunrise with temps mid 20' s.

    What you all say?

    About the same for me.

I like some overcast clouds after a pretty sunrise. Light wind I can play.

And yes, I like Pina Coladas and getting caught n the rain.

20's - 30's with a 5-8 mph wind, barometer above 30 and partly cloudy is perfect.

A 12 pointer wandering through my living room while watching a baseball game? OK, an ideal condition is when you have the time.

All depends on the time of the year, but if I had to pick one I would go with a late October morning, low's in the upper 20's so there's a nice frost on the ground, 8 mph wind, high pressure, and clear skies.

One of the best sounds are hoof beats coming on frozen leaves.

I don't do morning hunts, so a cool misty november afternoon is hard to beat.

    Lol

I’m inFlorida. So if we are talking here and not where I go back home to hunt in Connecticut?

I like a cool Florida afternoon, say starting out @ 70 @ like 4 o’clock. By 5 I like a rain shower for 15 minutes. So it’s like 5:30 temps dropping, grass wet. Animals really start moving. By the time the sun goes down I like it in the upper 50’s. That’s a cold front down here. You go to the stand and need a light jacket for the ride back to camp on the Atv. Pretty much a cinch to see something to shoot, deer or pig .

Mid 20’s, light wind and overcast. The day after a front came through.

Mid 30's at night, low to mid 70's in the afternoon with golden yellow aspens, hot cows in a draw that keep the bulls screaming all day.

I’ll take post front, blue bird skies with high pressure. Wind speed about 10-15mph with a high of 40 on November 5th.
