    Sit was a bust, the other neighbor started riding his atv close to the line then shooting right before sunset, decided to walk around and got within 50 of some does, two others saw me and blew. Oh well

    while I am appreciative of passing on the tradition; why can't young hunters learn like I did? Sitting in a makeshift ground blind freezing my nuts off watching dad pray for a spike?

    I'm wondering what's up with the ass end of that deer? Hell of a gut shot or 'yotes got to it?

    Dead deer is a dead deer, but something looks odd about it.

    Hell of a buck for any age though :lol:

    Yea he said it was a kind or eventful time but I didn't get whole story yet. Kinda bummed but it is what it is and more happy a kid got him. Was her first time ever hunting too.

    Well folks. No kill tonight but I did see deer! A nany doe and her fawn were about 45 yards out. Cool to see though! Probably won’t hunt till either Thursday or Saturday. Good luck to y’all!

    He said it sat over night, shot yesterday and recovered this morning, so maybe some critters did get to it. I really didn't get whole story yet. I actually didn't notice that till you guys pointed it out.

    I'm not taking away from the kill by any means, just something looked wierd at the hind quarters. Hide looks folded up.

    I'm sure it's the last thing on their mind though, at least the cape was salvaged and they'll have that moment forever on the wall.

    The only day I can hunt this week and it's supposed to rain all day. So that's out. I probably going to wait til next week anyway. It will be nice to get a good rain and hopefully wash out my scent.
