    sat in stand im pretty unfamiliar with, ended up having 2 doe sneak by, i wasnt ready for them and while on range were behind too much brush. did not expect them to come from where they do, luckily i was paying more attention and another doe came from same spot, drilled her, could see blood pumping out and watched her fall within 50 yards.
    mow im surrounded by more does that wont leave. bet i have 15 minutes of video.
    glad i sat here!

    Got out for about 30 minutes after work today to do some scouting on some public land that is only about 15 minutes from work, found a nice tree in an area it doesn’t look like anyone else is hunting in, overlooked spot right off of the parkinglot and road, I’ve seen deer in that area years ago but haven’t been there for awhile, they logged it pretty heavy about 5 years ago so it is thick, found some decent sign so I think I will set up my XOP Wednesday morning and hunt for the first hour or so before work, then hunt after work on Thursday, we’ll see!!! Some decently worn trails, fresh scrapes and a TON of acorns IMG_2476.JPG IMG_2477.JPG

    Man I found a much easier way in tonight. Walked almost 2 miles. Found a way to cut it in half. Great guy I met on the trail out gave me a mile ride back to my truck. Great dude.

    Damn man, have any trail cams you can set up and get some intel while taking a few days to let the area cool down?

    See how rattled he got. 10pt may still be game if the big 8 switches it up.

    That sucks either way, but nothing tastes better than redemption, after the beer to shrug it off anyway....

    Wow! Ladies get it done! Congrats to her!

    No hunt tonight. The grand kids wore me out but parents got back late ,their Mom ended up at the dentist after sons Dr appointment. Which ended up having to get referred to yet another specialist. So On the way home I drove the road that the farm fields, and hunting camp that boarders our back line. Well it was raining and the chicken farm grain corn is still standing and 3 trucks were at the camp. Christopher Columbus day. I wasn't about to risk pushing anything on us to them. Had to read the riot act on them for tresspassing dragging a 12 pt through our place while I was out hunting. Just to avoid getting caught on owners land they shot it off. This time I stopped and took pictures of each vehical from the road. 32 tomorrow morning SSE winds. I will hit my favorite stand. Just above the nieghbors swamp bedding and the farm fields above me. Wet leaf cover should do me well. My Ear calmed down. Stand is 900 yrds away WNW line of our place, hoping buck will travel wind to their backs.
