Finish your business before the stand. In case of emergency, descend, have an emergency TP stash with you, dig hole... Bury when done.

Yes get up early have a cup of coffee immediately, then walk down your drive and back. Or drink prune juice before going to bed at night.

Good luck guys, wish I was out there a front is coming through. Though the wind will be better after the rain for this afternoon. With the buck filing in things are getting interesting. Lets hope the grandsons don't wear me out today...and my ear calms down.

Good luck guys on the morning hunt!

Joe you need to kill something!

There maybe a chance I get out this evening. If I do, I will be pressuring those bucks again. They will break before me.

Joe's being awfully quiet this morning. Maybe he's covered up in deer.

its about as perfect weather wise as you could ask for, if just some of the standing corn would disappear thatd be great

I've seen one deer so far. A buck hobbling from the field into the woods right at first light.

I couldn't tell how big he was but I wouldn't have had a shot anyway.

The deer I expected to see are no- shows so far.

I think he's a beastly 2 year old. Still has a row of spots down his spine. He gets 1 more year.

No luck on the recovery, call to access property went well. Went to last blood and got back on some. She got into the open and overnight dew may have take its toll on the blood.
I want to say she’s alive, never found anywhere she laid down, I walked a few of the patches of woods in the store ruin she went and found nothing. Her lack of reaction to the shot and post shot may have just clipped her muscle/some soft. No blood on arrow, only some fat...at least, I’m trying to convince myself it was not fatal. I’ll be on the lookout for a doe with a wound on my next hunts.
I’m off to Illinois next weekend and won’t be out until then. Sorry to get the excitement up yesterday, 3hrs of tracking last night will remind me to aim for the exit and not the entry point. Shot was dead nuts accurate, just not in the sweet spot.
