Thanks Ridge, helluva morning! I'd just finished watching the preview for the Seahawks game today, put my phone down and was sitting there wondering why the heck I wasn't seeing any deer...about 15 minutes later right around 8:45 I caught him heading into my little corner of the field. I pulled my bow up so I'd be at least close to ready and waited until he came around the brush, hoping he'd be turning to smell my licking branch or get some trophy rock, well he was just passing through and I saw he was gonna just go straight through and jump the fence so I pulled up to a gap and walked right into it. I knew he was right around the 35yd line so I set my 30 yd dot a little high right behind the shoulder and let fly! I watched my arrow until it hit the ground through my scope and when I looked up he was wheeling off and my arrow was laying right there where it should be for a clean pass-though, watched him just hauling ass back across the field and I was insanely excited and insanely nervous at the same time. I knew wherever he was running off to he was out of my line of sight by now so I climbed down my ladder to check my arrow and as soon I got down and looked over that way I could see the big white mound of his belly and then I was jacked! I haven't been that pumped up since I got my first little spike 2 years ago, this morning was an awesome hunt! Went over and checked him out, snapped some pictures and then headed for the deer hauler. Got him all cut up and in the fridge for now. Now I'm gonna spend the next few hours watching the Seahawks beat up on Cleveland and try to figure out how to measure this bad boy. What a morning! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Congrats guys. Had an eight about 10 yards from me yesterday but decided to see if other spot might produce a little bigger. Only saw two pt this morning.
Well here's the pics. I started to skin her out before I got the pics Sent from my Pixel 2 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

I just posted them to the scorecard. Sitting at my last hunt for the weekend trip. Headed back home tomorrow. The boy has had some close encounters but still gotta learn how to catch them from farther away and prepare for the shot Sent from my Pixel 2 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Ok guys I think I got it. Keep in mind this is my first and only attempt but with examples and walkthroughs and instructions I don't think I did too bad. Tried to take some photo evidence as I went but it's a little hard with only 2 hands lol. Came up with 91 7/8 net. So close to 100" but now I have something to shoot for Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I’m really sorry to have to say this, but I wasn’t able to get any pictures to make my doe contest legal. It was too dark when we got her, and it got much warmer than it was supposed to and we rushed to get her quartered up and forgot. I’m really sorry guys.
Awesome thank you! Now I gotta get a doe on the ground and I'll be tapped out for the contest. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
