Got back on stand at 12:30 in a new spot based on movement I've observed.

Walked up on a doe coming in.

I made the right choice. It's raining now and I'm under a tree umbrella but now the rain is supposed to stop at 3:00 and the temps are going to drop 15 degrees between now and 6:00 pm.

    Could be a great sit.

Oh, there is a 10" diameter cedar 10 yards away that's been torn up and there are tine marks six feet up the tree. I'd think a bear did it but there aren't any around here.

Good luck to all who are out for the afternoon hunt! I will be out in the morning at a new property I just got permission to hunt. It is 60 acres that has a lot of good dear sign. Best part is that it hasn’t been hunted for the past few years. Anyways...Let’s see some blood folks!!!

All set up in a tree. On a transition edge near a few fresh rubs. I feel like orphaning a fawn tonight... if it’s brown it’s down

Wow! I knew the wind was supposed to shift from SE to NW. I set up for it.

What I didn't expect was for it to happen in under two minutes. Almost lost the umbrella and for a second I thought the tree I'm in might go down. That was vicious.

It was like being back out at sea.

I was hunting Upshur one day and had an Osprey land about 100 yards away from me. The pilot got the angry fist.

Feeling good about this. Low humidity and the shadows have already moved into this little creek grassy area. 2 hrs left.
