Good to hear, this Saturday looks awesome. The worst thing to happen to me the last few days was the action I had, I got it bad now. But I don't think I can get back out for a couple weeks, it hurts :bigcry:

Three half day sets and I haven't seen a single deer from stand. I love it!

Up in first sit of the season for me. Gorgeous night with a cold front coming in. Wish I would've checked this stand a bit closer, squirrels at my damn seat. Shoulda brought one with me. [IMG][IMG]

Now you know we're not to sit! Lol

But seriously, it does suck. I've had a few were I went 6-7 sits with no deer. It really mess with your mind. Just remember your scouting and keep moving. You will find them!

Got a kill tonight... Look at first pic and the maple just next to the opening on your left.. Not a monster maple but from the sound of hit.. Probably a heart shot. The doe it was with walked out and fed 45 yrds away with several others and the 7 pt I passed again.. WHIFF!! Just didnt bend enough barely cleared her shoulder when she dropped. A great hunt perfect set up just didn't do my part.

That's more than any hunter should have to "bear".

A great sit tonight, shortly after I got set up tonight I had a hunter come in and walk about 100 yards further north and set up, I thought I heard a buck rubbing a tree but know I think it was the other hunter climbing up a tree. Short time later a see a deer walk down between us. I Couldn't say what it was. Then I had three fawns parade by me from the north. A while later I had a 4 pt come by. Then at the witching hour was upon me I had a bigg old Nanny with 2 fawns started my way. Grabbed my bow got turned around and was watching her come my way. I picked out the spot I was going to stop her in when i moved a little bit to get my feet right and she caught me, she then decided to blow up the hole effing woods, that b#$&#. Gentleman I am at war with this Nanny. It's my own fault but she must die now.

Do I go back to the same tree or she going to pick me out every time now. No she did not wind me she hadn't reached the spot yet. She had another 35-40 yards before she would crossed my wind but she wouldn't have reached that spot because I would have shot her in another 15-20.

She was a biggin. 200+ LB doe

I always move when I get picked off by a smart old deer. I'll sit the same tree if I get busted by a young, stupid deer but those old wise does tend to look at the same spot where they picked you off.

That's just me and my way of thinking though.
