No sooner did I put phone away and I was beset by a big nanny, a 1.5 yo,and twin fawns. They made it over to where my scent was eddying just a touch and she snappes her head around amd locked right onto me. But I'm wearing a leaf suit and I didn't budge so eventually she dismisses her nose and moved off. Could've smoked her at 15 yards broadside but this is a buck only sit for me. Over a mile amd a half deep no way I'm tracking and dragging a slicktop outta here

I wasn't planning on hunting this morning, but after moving my stand and a talk with farmer...change of mind. By this time yesterday, 9 doe/fawns had walked by this tree. Today, some in the dark and 3 young bucks (6, 7, and 9 pts) recently. 2 of them sparred a few times and the smaller one made a rub... so cool to watch them.

Pouring rain over here, I have Gore-Tex and coffee so I’m gonna stick it out for a while. I just had a big raccoon start climbing up the tree im in, that was cool.
And if somebody could bring me the tree umbrella that I left in the truck that would be great

Has anyone posted up a season prayer yet? Seems like myself and a couple other guys could use one based on tough tracks jobs so far.

Don't know how much longer I'm going to give it. Forecasted "10mph" winds are more like sustained 15 with frequent 20-25mph gusts. I'm in a 18"d oak and it's rocking pretty good. Can't hear for squat and with everything swaying to the gusts v catching animal movement not easy.

If I don't post anything more today it means I'm down and packing up. Won't be LFTS until next weekend

Well family obligations mean I can get the hound out there till this afternoon, unfortunately all the meat will probably be shot but atleast I can get my tag on him and have closure if we can find him

Gut shot deer take a while to die...the meat may be fine. You are giving it a great effort and I hope you are rewarded.
