I've been out for a bit. I'll grid search tomorrow. Crazy how it was really good blood, then nothing. We went all kinds of ways and can't find anything. I bet he isn't far, just in too thick of cover, hard to see. Hopefully an update for everyone in the morning

40 th and grandson's first birthday today. Families going out to brunch. Besides winds are bad, swirling and rain on the way. That's what I call timing..

In a tree. Got up and walked in early to get into the woods before they come to bed from the fields.

And still managed to bump 4-5 different groups on tbe way in. Even though its only 50 and breezy ìt's about 80% humidity so I managed to get soaked in sweat.

Hey at least the wind shifted right toward where I expect the deer to come from so I've got that going for me.

Not favorable conditions so I’m in a burner spot. Hopefully something is heading to or coming from the neighbors pond for a drink. Haven’t had any rain here in forever. Set up on a transition line/ travel corridor. Probably more like a rut spot, but I couldn’t think of anywhere else for the morning and a south wind

I'm up in the tree. Bumped two coming in, one was only about 10 yards away laying in its bed and never even blew just jumped and ran a bit. The other is a certain doe begging for an arrow..

I'm in the woodshed again. Somebody is thrashing trees and grunting no more than 50 yards away. No visual yet...

    The Ol' Prairie Hooker?

Winds not as bad as I thought. I'm kind of in a big bowl on side of a huge ridge and the puffer is indicating its hugging the lower lip them swirling out into clear cut.

Love the layout and looks of this spot, judging by sign I should be covered in deer
