Well you popping off about the Yankees being in the lead. that is not true, then you are bragging about the Yankees in a game where they lost to the Detroit Tigers, the lowly Tigers at that.
I guess I should define what popping off is. There are 5 pages of 2019 MLB discussion here, not once did you post about the topic, but when the Yankees do something you crow about it, you had no skin in the game before but now you want to brag, that is popping off.
The Brewers are still in contention for the playoffs and now they lose Yelich for the season and possibly longer. They still have a chance but I’m not very hopeful without him. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yes....he fouled a straight shot to the knee. Reports this morning were promising and that he won’t require surgery. If he did need the surgery he was likely to miss all of next season too. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yawn. You are so cantankerous. I hadn’t even seen the thread till a few days ago so I couldn’t very well be posting in it before now could I? You were crowing about the Twins hitting a bunch of home runs in a year where pipsqueaks and 100 lb weaklings are hitting 20+. I was simply poking you because the Yankees had caught and passed them. Relax and enjoy having a good team this year.
The Twins rely on drafting well and spending wise in second tier free agents vs Yankees just buy it. I loved the yankees as a kid when Craig Nettles, Reggie Jackson, Thurman Munsun, Mickey Rivers, Ron Gidtry, etc. Plus the yanks only tied not took the lead.
I just do not get the whole champagne thing when a baseball team wins their division. Keep playing hit 100 wins.
Brewers have a shot at the division. Who saw that coming 3-4 weeks ago? Sent from my RS501 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Red Sox are eliminated, I'm not going to support the Yankees but will admit they really are good this year. Although I think I'm supposed to support an AL team, I'm taking the Braves in the WS. I've lived in Tennessee for 18 years now, I get to see more Braves games than Sox games, it's helped find a new "home" team over the year. However it turns out, October baseball is the best.
Twins finish the season fastest to 300 home runs and take the season record. Thank you Pohlad family.
Well tonight is the start, Twins will slay the dragon. I have a friend that is a red ass like me, we decided that we will not watch the games in NY together. He pitched in the minors for the Diamond Backs, he offers a lot of insight but eventually I tell him to stfu and watch the game.
I am excited but still cautiously optimistic, when the Twins suck or lose a big game it makes me feel the same as a viking fan, I do not enjoy living in loserville USA.
If the Braves do get past the Cardinals (I say if because they are a youth team and I feel experience may get them) then I expect them to get beat by the Dodgers in the NLCS. The Dodgers may even sweep them. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic considering I haven't seen my Braves win anything big since I was in elementary school.
I am so pissed off this morning, I invested an entire season fooling myself thinking that this Twins team was different than past years, only to watch them get done last night in New York.
