Well here I am. First sit and what can go wrong is. Man good thing I have a sense of humor
Quiver I just had one out with my practice arrows. ????. Spare ???? So hunting arrows are in a make shift one.
Quad drop away rest working fine, did a practice shot from blind, now broken !!! Won't click up and stay. But still shooting good. Rain and wind are back. So I have my water, snacks , cross word book and a heavy dose of optimism. .good luck out there.
Ps. Are those fixable or am I hitting a bow shop for replacement..Geez just got new strings $$$

I've been out since an hour before first light and haven't seen anything except a few squirrels.

It was 52 degrees and I dressed for it but I didn't dress for the wind.

It feels kinda good to shiver for a change.

Saw a small buck at first light, didn’t have any sig. Not finding much sign in the woods, so may be sitting the field edge this evening. They’re still green here.

LOL, nope, different farm. This one dwarfs him. But I was outsmarted today and missed my chance.
I have another stand about 60 yards in front of me in the creek bottom where he skirted me.
I may go there tomorrow or Sunday morning depending on the wind.
He walked through there without a care in the world, so I think he knew exactly where I was .
Maybe we’ll see if he tries to be slick again!

Well well well. Look what walked right in front of my stand 2 1/2 hours before I walked in.

This is the first decent buck I've gotten on camera all year. I can't see brow times but assuming he has them he'd be a decent 10.

Sure does look young though. IMAG0003.jpg

N/NE wind today blowing up my 1st choice evening spot and tomorrow's forecasted S/SE winds blowing up my 1st choice morning spot. I honestly don't know if I've ever even hunted with a South Southeast wind. Oh well, good thing I brought the Ghillie might be in for some CRP ground and pound

Well the double whopper from last night kicked me out of the stand a little earlier than expected. Checked card when I got home it dosent seem like the deer are crossing in front of the stand. I think they are crossing behind it. I’ll give it a couple more tries before moving it. I ended up seeing a 4pt when I got down. So a total of 3 bucks and does this morning. Plus this joker was on camera but nothing since. Image1570200583.180276.jpg

Just had 2 different doe step out at 31 yrds no more cleared their shoulders both jumped back to woods. I'm tucked in the pines, but gusts have me right in their noses right where they step out. I'll wait a bit. Only chance they'd circle around is from the gully and to my right front. No sign of them in the woods to my left. ..I hear something behind me....

I ask myself this every year. It seems like all the cold fronts come in the week when I am working and then it heats back up on the weekends.

It Is except that the beech nuts are everywhere way back in the woods. If Saturday doesn't work on the plot I will probably grab the climber mid day on Sunday and head back and up onto the hill in a beech nut tree grove.

    Well I had 4 options 1 being bad.lol
Come in infront to my rt behind from rt or from left behind or apple to rear. The bad one..left side and left front. I'm thinking the turkeys are behind me. Of course all cam pics have them coming behind and rt.. until today. At least it's, clearing.
