Well, my machine is still down but, Caterpillar had an assembly line go down on one of their big mining trucks. The parts they need are ones we run, costs them over a grand every hour they are down. The guy who runs the machine those parts run on cannot work tomorrow due to his daughter having surgery in the morning.

Somebody had to step up to run the machine to get the parts done, wasn't me because this guy is going hunting in the morning

Oh I like this spot. Real close to known bedding but usually later in the year. Not sure but this spot is purdy sweet.

First sit of 2019! Couldn’t not stop in and say hello and best of luck!

Goal for this year. Focus more. Post/read/phone less. Of the many adjustments I’ve made in hopes of better execution this year.

    Cheers!

Our camp is right on the Isabella/Montcalm County Line. We hunt in either.

Getting out here early was a waste of time. Haven't even seen a squirrel yet.

Let's see what the last hour of light brings.

So my wife just rambles off some NONSENSE! I was asking where she thought a good spot would be for my most recent deer, ya know being considerate! She straight up said you might need to take one of the other boys down and put him in the spare room....

So I said I think I’ll just burn your end table and make a pedestal for him.

She walked away after giving a chuckle.

So my real question to you guys. Does anyone have a spare room for me and the boys plus a new one come June?

Attached are all the boys and said coffee table that I’ll also be bringing out of spite!

First sit. Had a appt cancel and it all worked out for me getting out. This is more of a morning stand, sun in my face for another 20-30 minutes but the wind is perfect for it. Nice little 8-12mph north northeast wind. It's nice being out. 20191003_182637.jpg

Didn’t see anything else. Here’s the little buck after he walked around me. Literally came within 7 yards. He’s about 15 in the vid. Had another deer opposite of him, don’t know what it was.

Well damn, I had a big chunky doe at 30 yards broadside. But, she had a little fawn with her and I just couldn’t do it.
Only the first day of my season, there will be better opportunities.
    See y’all in the AM!

Nothing for me which surprised the **** out of me. Oh well. I'll hit it again tomorrow and then it's off to a public hunt.

I was the one that said:

    This is Mike
    Mike is a ****
    Don't be a Mike.

Hilarious day!...I remember where I was sitting when I wrote that. I really have no problems with you Mike. Someday maybe we'll all meet again if they ever have a "Get ToGether". They used to have them in June, but it's been a while. Any talk of another GTG?

I saw around 20 deer tonight- but nothing inside 70 yards.
