As many as officially meet 1 inch in length. 7/8 doesn't qualify....shoot 15/16 doesn't...meet an inch and its an official measureable abnormal point.
Yellow line all day long. There is no common base with the tines. They both leave the main beam at different points. It's a bonus that the webbing gives you a larger mass measurement. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Okay read on, I see you're dealing with an issue many face...even I did last year but mine was sandwiched closer together. I had mine officially scored and emailed an official scorer pictures (not as good...but he agreed). The first "point" would be scored as the G2, and the second one an abnormal point using the base measurement you illustrated in the first picture if I understood them and the scoring system correctly. Your buck (or this buck) and mine are prime examples where this can swing a net typical score nearly 10 inches or so depending on size. I uploaded an image of mine...yours is more questionable than mine. Honestly, I'd get in touch with an official scorer and have it done. Most it is a free service or they charge for a plaque display LOL. Worth it IMO and plenty of time to report score to scorecard.
I cannot get a clear enough image to see the antler lines and "grains" but I think it is more common base than you think Holt. For this contest, using gross...we are probably talking what an inch difference and a very valid reason for the "possible issue" I think any logical person wouldn't disagree using the yellow or red.
That pic is clear enough for me to see. Here is a example of both on a set of antlers I have. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I did finally find the guy's live thread posts where there were more angles and lots of pictures. I tend to agree with Holt, that thing would probably score on both sides as each being independent and separate points. That final left side G4 not hitting an inch it appears would make it a 5x4 main frame with awesome kickers and such near bases. Just an awesome buck truly!
@KDORSETT12 something looks familiar here....can't quite place it. Nicely done, my friend! Keep getting her bloody
So I see that Fix shot a doe and entered it on the score card. Now the question, he said he killed it with a "a look and a whisper". That's not archery equipment! I don't think it should count! Lol Congrats buddy! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
@Happy That folks is a true score. I love seeing bucks that you go... Wow that only scored (whatever)? That is a great buck man and looks like it would have broke 130 all day, congrats.
Alright guys, scoring clarification. All scores will have 4 total mass measurementa regardless of whether it is a spike or a 7x7 typical 14pt. On a 6pt or 8pt the final 2 or 1 mass measurement is taken in the center between the middle of the final point, G2/G3, and tip of main beam. Where would you start the middle of the final G tine? Follow it through or where it intersects with the line of the beam for tine legth and drop it straight down(dotted line)? You would want to measure on the same line as when taking beam length. One of my team members forgot the final mass measurement and want to clarify where it is taken.
