drove by the property yesterday. Saw about a dozen does/fawns in the alfalfa. Most beans around are starting to turn, so our field is the next best thing. Season opens in the AM. Probably won't make it out until Wednesday evening or Friday morning.
Season has officially opened here. Now all I need is a wild hair to get the inkling to go out. Likely working Friday and Saturday, unless something goes awry and they are not able to get my machine fixed by then. Sabotage is not an option Still considering a short morning sit Sunday, can't miss the Ravens at Steelers game. Too much on the line. Early season I rarely see anything past 9:30-10 anyhow so no biggie.
Season has started here, but the weather don't want to co-op. Temps are still hitting the 90's, but the forecast calls for a front in the next week. Hopefully, this will be the start of a cool down in the big TEX. I'm looking forward to make my 1st sit around that weekend.
64 degrees out this morning. Be a good time to be in tree. I might be able to go out this afternoon but didn't really plan to cause it wouldn't have worked out of i had ha. But probably tomorrow afternoon and all weekend. This is what my day looks like ha Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Well I could probably make it out this afternoon bit it'd be around 345-400 so I don't really wanna rush myself. So probably gonna put it off another day. But good luck if anybody is out. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Wish I could have gotten out today and tomorrow. It was windy and wet today with a high around 50°. Tonight it is supposed to get down to 34°. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I'll be out in the morning. Supposed to get down to 47 tonight. See if I can get us on the scoreboard or not. Still up in the air for which stand to hunt. Probably won't know until I either climb or pass by the first stand
Good luck this morning. I’ll be out on Saturday if the rain holds off. Really wish I did t work weekdays, yesterday was perfect weather to be on stand.
100 degrees here and hasn’t rained in about a month. I still haven’t planted any food plots and season starts October 15. Waiting on some moisture. Next week is supposed to bring rain cooler temperatures. I have a lot of work to do and I have a itchy trigger finger.
not a lot to see recently, they all seem to be content hanging out in the corn. going to be cold Friday so im taking the day off to hunt. hopefully the chill makes them move.
We have an ocean storm stalled off the coast, heavy rain and wind till Saturday. Hoping to make it out Saturday at some point!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Another cold front moving in this weekend. Highs Saturday and Sunday are around 38°. Plan on hunting Saturday morning/afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Perfect weekend to put down at least a doe. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
reset a ladder stand yesterday due to the wind dropping the tree it was originally in. Also set up a ground blind. Will be taking my nephews out for the youth hunt this weekend. Then it's my turn to spend some quality tree time.
Goy rained out at work this morning but still didn't go out. If get this job finished up will probably go out tonight if rain is done. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
