With it getting hotter again these next few days before the big predicted cool down, I may sneak in a Wednesday morning hunt.
My bowhunting has gotten delayed a bit with things coming up this fall. Still plan to get out this fall some but it may be limited.
I’ve decided against going out Tuesday or Wednesday in the 92 degree heat. Thursday evening, I’m going to go behind the house. Friday, they’re calling for a low of 41, so I took the day off of work to hunt. Heading up to my parents. I’m going to hang and hunt in the am, do some midday scouting, and try to get on some fresh sign to set up on Friday evening.
Season finally opens tomorrow here, and of course it is supposed to be pouring rain. Was gonna try to fill a landowner doe tag quick and early. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Pouring rain, didn't go out tonight. Thursday is looking good though. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Hitting the woods tonight. I don’t have any expectations, but I’m going to be set up between bedding, acorns, and water. It’s not a primary buck bedding area, but it has had big bucks bed in it, I just can’t figure out what makes them bed there. First go in the saddle tonight and then to my parents in the AM for a morning observation/scouting sit, midday scouting, then hopefully have some intel to make a play on for the evening. Here’s what tonight’s hunt looks like. Blue is water, white is me, yellow is oaks and clover, purple is wind direction, bedding area is the open looking stuff. Also persimmon trees directly above the white x on the edge of the thicket (bedding area). Sounds good, looks good....Maybe I’ll get lucky
They are tearing up the persimmon trees where I am at - even during daylight. I would like to make one suggestion to your map.... See below for my recommendations...
