She went about 50 or 60 yards in some seriously thick stuff. No blood. Good thing she didn't go far cause I probably wouldn't have found her. She was quartering to me and looking away, her shoulder was wide open and I let it fly. Probably about a 20 yard shot.
I may take the grandson out tomorrow evening but then it's suppose to be in the 90's til Friday, when we are suppose to see like a 30 degree drop in daytime highs. Weekend is looking good if things don't change much.
EFF this hot weather - heat and not a drop of rain in 3 weeks killed the oats I planted 2 of 6 food plots - hoping we get rain soon before I lose the rape radishes etc
Lol pulled in to the emergency room parking lot, bleeding quit, went to cvs got done liquid bandaid. Wife’s a vet tech, so she cleaned it when we got home. It started bleeding again and a tried for two more hours to get it to quit. Well, she was right, should’ve went in to the ER when we pulled in the first time. In and out of the ER in an hour, stitched up and good to go!
By the way, I can now vouch for the Magnus black hornets, even though I’ve only killed a coyote with one
This will be the buck that haunts me all season. He ll be the one that runs the does out of the country, I’ll probably see him every other hunt, and then come late season, after I’ve passed on him all year and am making a last ditch effort to punch a buck tag, he won’t be here.
Decided to let my grandson do his first ever solo hunt this evening. Last 1/2 hour is upon us, hoping he nails a big one.
I pulled the card and here are the 2 bucks that busted my grandson right around 7:20 this evening. He said they busted out of there just as he was going to shoot the one I call little 9, which is the first picture.
