Haven’t seen this thread in the past. I am in the gym 6 days a week. 3 days split, push, pull and legs/core. Keep killing it y’all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep, and I got permission from some friends who own a vacant lot in the town to hunt it/use it as a parking area. From what I can tell online, it is on the eastern edge of a ridge top that has a creek at the bottom about 100 yards away in an undeveloped neighborhood that is about 20 acres in size. I am hoping that with the heat, I can catch something heading to the creek for a drink, if I can get out there.
Pushing the cardio here lately getting ready to hunt CO. Alternated days on treadmill 7.5-10 degree and elliptical 45-60 minutes. Generally somewhere between 5-8ish miles.
Brother...you might slam a good one early Any trail cams in there? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
No. I don’t run trail cams up there. This is my first year to do this hunt. I haven’t been up there yet. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Still getting after it? Just did dead’s and OHP’s yesterday. Today is body weight day. 10 pull ups, 25 push ups, 25 squats. Repeat until I can’t. Will do 3 miles on the treadmill watching the ballgame if I don’t get called into work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ok, admittedly I've been slacking on my exercise routine lately, although I usually get in a three mile run every day. I am very strict about my calorie intake everyday though. So I've been skipping the gym part of my routine for about two months now. Funny thing is, in that two months I've lost 4 pounds. So go figure. Well today I came back with a vengeance. 200 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, 50 pull-ups (those nearly killed me) five mile bike ride, and three mile run! Right now I ain't feeling too bad but we'll see how this old man feels tomorrow! Stay after it guys! Blessings...........Pastorjim Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Glad to see you guys being active. I hit the gym for weights 4 days a week. run 15-20 mins 4 days a week. eat very clean 6 days a week and drink lots of water. I was 34 inch waist a year ago. now Im 30". body went from around 19% to now about 11-12% .. 90 % of it is diet. Lifting heavy free weights will do wonders as well.. Im not as strong as I was in my bodybuilding days in my 20's but at 44 and 146 lbs I can still bench 315lbs at my body weight without pain. Running is the best for overall fitness but if you mix in the free weights and eat right, you will be amazed at the results even for middle age men like me. keep at it guys!!
I strained my calf running about a week ago. Still wont loosen up and hurts. I think it was from over use as I had picked up my running and jump roping. Ive still been training but have had to modify my lower body stuff. For some reason my calf is cramping like crazy today. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Two thumbs up for this thread. The past year has been extremely stressful. Worst of my life. Ive kept the workouts consistent and it has really helped ease the stress. No meds...no constant drunkeness, just hard workouts. Man it is the best medicine. Keep at it fellas! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
So much truth VS. The benefits go way beyond just liking what you see in the mirror. Kept it simple and quick today. Incline bench, hex bar deads, followed by 25 body weight squats repeat. Not sure I have any gas left in the tank for a run at this point might just take the dog for a walk instead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This morning I did 10 incline treadmill sprints followed by a 6 round strength training circuit, 6 reps on each exercise: push-press 85 lbs , pull ups, push ups, split squats w/ 25lb Kettle Bell, and Rope Cable Rotations.
Thinking of giving up conventional deads for hex bar. Have hurt my lower back a couple times now. Just not worth it in my opinion. I know hex put a bit more emphasis on the legs instead of the back but I can always do some rack pulls to make up for it.
2 weeks of this right calf injury. I dont workout and it hurts. I workout and it feels better then hurts like hell. I think I have some insertion pt swelling. Starting to creep into my achilles. Starting to tick me off. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Did a boot camp class this morning at the Y. I believe the teacher is subscribed to squatober... DB weights, but tabatta style... Lots of squats and lunges. Legs are fine, my knees on the other hand...
