Got a brand new matthews all setup, love it except its heavy. First hunt western hunt spot and stalk I notice my dampener gone! I even read that in a review of the bow before I bought it. I was gunna super glue it but forgot. Ordered one online today on "sale" for 53$! Seems like a stupid mistake from matthews. Thoughts?

Not sure what to say - if you bump it hard enough or get it caught in a branch I'm sure it could get knocked out. They've been using the same design to hold the damper for years and this is the first post I've seen about losing one.

Yes a brand new bow with a big piece missing isn't very appealing to the eyes.

I haven't had a new matthews for a few years but to me they seem easier to take out with that big plastic weight or whatever is in the middle of them now. Guy at scheels just told me they sold the last couple they had in stock from that same story and said it will be an issue. Oh well super glue should do the trick.

That's interesting. I'm assuming you mean the dampener on the bottom just above the limbs. I have a Triax and I'll have to see how well mine is in there. Sorry for what happened to you but thanks for posting so more of us are aware.

Paying that much for a bow and having to super glue anything is ridiculous.. Same thing with my elites.. My draw stops came loose and rattled out and I had to put wax on em...smh... it's just wrong
