So I have been a Tru-Ball fan for some years but am looking now for a new release. I have always used a dual jaw. Any thoughts on a good hunting release Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Been using carter now for a couple years and have never been disappointed or let down. I'm shooting the Nock 2 (wise choice) currently.
Stan perfex long neck. Hammer release, I have the short neck in small. The long neck has a string retainer and you can hang it on your bow
Went out and took a look today at the Stan. Not my type of release to use for hunting right now.... i am looking more into wrist strap release type. Any suggestions between dual caliper head and the single jaw type? Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Scott samurai. Is my wrist strap option. Has a straight trigger. Adjustable sensitivity. Its my backup release. Around 70 bucks. One time I dropped it out of the stand and couldn't find it. Searched everywhere....except in the ttree 10 ft off the ground. It was there through a few snows. When I found it, it was seized. I filled it with Rem oil and left it in a tupperware. When I got back to it a few hours later it was right as rain.
I have used the Spot Hogg Wiseguy for the last couple years and have been very happy with it. It's quiet and smooth.
Wish I was paying attention to this forum back when you actually needed the advice. I started with a dual jaw wrist release and decided to try a single and preferred the single. I ended up going with a Tru-Fire Hardcore. Now, I've been tossing the idea of using a hand held but just haven't forced myself to try one yet.
