Good luck this morning Joe. We have all been in your shoes at least I know I have and it is a terrible feeling. All you can do is put in the effort and search the best you can.
Amen. Good luck joe hope you find him. Check the water sources and holes where he can try and hide in. Keep at it my man! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Still nothing. Land owner hasn't done anything with his property in 5-10 years so everything is a grown up mess. It's nice for the deer population but not nice for tracking. Going to try for another hour.
I would get back up in that tree and keep on hunting at this point. If you see vultures while you are out then investigate.
I'm taking a break to regroup from this. From last night to today I've bumped every deer in the county.
Hey we’ll share your pain man. It definitely eats at you. That’s where your teammates come in to help you through the tough times. Hang in there Joe!
I’ll brighten the mood with some fresh trail camera pictures soon! I went and pulled cards one last time tonight before the season starts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m expecting pictures of you know who on your card pull. Jeff was MIA still for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks guys I appreciate the pick me up. This is the deer I think I shot and then the two bigger ones.
The first buck I will show you is a buck I’ve got history with. I passed him at 10 yards working a scrape 2 years ago as a 3 year old. He’s also the first knowingly 5 year old deer I’ve had living on this farm. He sticks around for most of the year too. The second buck is one I had pictures of last year as a 3 year old. It looks like he put on some inches this year and is a pretty good looking 4 year old buck that I would shoot given the chance. Next: we move to a different farm. I’ve got two bucks to post here. I’ve posted them already in here they are just hard horned now. The 8 pointer I’m on the fence with his age and the 9 or 10 pointer is a stud 3 year old that I will not shoot this year. I'm popping up my last blind today after work and then I will officially be ready for season. Nothing ever showed up on the millionaire cameras, so I'm putting the blind where I killed my buck in 2015. It's been big buck central until the last couple years...
This guy on the right has actually stuck around, but he lost quite a bit last year. That left side is almost unrecognizable...
