I ended up with a Broadhead similar to the one you like Benny. But it’s 125grain. They are shooting really well. I have always shot 100grain
Blood trails might not be as crazy as shooting the big expandables but they fly true! Glad you like it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve always been a fixed blade man but Just had the desire to change it up. I should have changed spine weight along time ago but this heavy set up is like throwing darts. So much smoother. It’s funny now how long it takes to hit a target at 40. Seems like forever haha! So I’m giving the wasp drones a try.
That design is very similar to the broadheads that I’ve been shooting. I’ve heard that wasp makes great broad heads and they are some of the sharpest out there. Do you guys sharpen your small fixed blade heads? How do you do it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My goldtips only weigh about 405 grains. My Traverse is somewhere near 280fps I think. My 28" draw kills my fps for sure. I was a Rage guy for years but last year I switched to to Muzzy Trocar HB. Jury is still out on them. Need to kill a couple more deer this year to decide if I like them better. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Original Muzzy 100 gr. 3 blade has never let me down. I did switch to Killzones for a year, but never got to test them on an animal.
Doing laundry, putting on new broadheads, fling a couple more arrows and put my clothes in an ozone generator thingy my wife got for me. Tomorrow afternoon can't come soon enough!
I shot this buck with a killzone a few years ago. It had almost no blood trail until I got about 15 yards from the animal. It was the weirdest thing I’ve seen. The other buck I shot with a killzone the buck dropped and I got him high and square on the shoulder blade. No penetration or recovery the head broke off the arrow. (Notice the scar on the buck) I did shoot two deer with the double cross and I wasn’t a huge fan of that one. It did some damage but the blades all broke while passing through/hitting the ground. I'm in the stand fellas. 93 degrees but it feels like 100. Didn't jump anything on the way in. Forgot a piece of my camera arm but that's not going to stop me.
Good luck Joe! Try to stay cool and enjoy the first sit. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
