Welp, I’m going to set blinds up and do some clearing for shooting lanes tomorrow. It’s getting closer!!!
Okay guys, For those of you that are going to change your profile pic to the teams logo, are we all okay with this one?
I am going to put in my last 10 fall foodplots this weekend and 1 more blind and I will be ready for season.
Finally got a blind set up on my early season spot. Going to let it sit for a couple days and then see what my work schedule allows for hunting come the weekend Sent from my 5059S using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Wisconsin opened the 14th. Didn't make it up because of some flooding and road closures. Should be okay soon. Will head up for a sit and check 4 cameras that have been soaking for a month! We'll hopefully have some good pics to share! And some points for the team! Illinois opens the Oct 1st. Going to check Illinois cameras some time this week. Good luck to anyone out hunting! Let me hear opinions: This weekend I found a new spot with fresh sign and intersecting trails. I put a scrape up on the trail and cleared out some brush for a shooting lanes...do ya'll think its too close to season to be cutting limbs and interfering in the deer's area? There could be some bedding close by, but I can't confirm. Would you wait till later in October/November to hunt the area, or would I be good to hunt it right away come October 1st? I've got a camera on the scrape, so I could always wait and see if they are stopping by.
By October 1st, I would think the deer would be use to the little changes that you made. I put out some corn and a blind Saturday and had pictures that night and the deer never seemed nervous at all. I understand it’s a little different scenario but still. I would sneak in a couple days before season and check the camera to see how they’re traveling through there. Just my thoughts.
I think you would be fine hunting Oct 1st. I'd take a chance and hunt it if there was fresh sign. Hunt and check camera same time! Worth a try! Good luck! Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
