I do it for the team. I booked a flight to be home for 40 hours the last weekend in October! Finally getting good updates from home. Some huge bucks are back from last year. Hoping to get points on the board for the squad. My huge potential 2 y/o 12 from last year kept the same frame but added 3 split tines making him a 3 y/o 15. Not a ton of growth on him. Others blew up and have me super excited. But for now I’ve still got elk on my brain. Got extremely close to arrowing this guy 11 am Sunday. Back to the mountains tomorrow after work. They will be bugling better from here on out!!

Well if you don't get a deer at least you can bust out the canner to put a away some beans for the winter! How do the deer like them?

I’m hopeful this doesn’t take away any more hunting time from me, but my puppy is ill gentleman. She’s 4 months old and well under weight. Trust me i feed the snot out of her. She had 30 round worms not that long ago but my vet is concerned that it’s not the reason she isn’t gaining weight. He’s very concerned that Winnie has a shunt. That means all the blood vessels that are supposed to lead into the liver bypass her liver and her liver doesn’t function. We’re doing a blood test tomorrow on her liver to see if that’s the case. If that is the case, he informed me the life span is only a year or two. That scares the living s*** out of me. Without medicine she had diarrhea constantly. Say a prayer for my little girl guys. Nov 9,10,&11 have always been consistent for day movement for me. Give or take a few days because of weather. Benny hopefully they can do something for her. She looks like a great dog! Keep us updated.

I bumped one of my target bucks an hour ago. He was bedded in the neighbors beans. I walk the fence line on the neighbors side not to disturb the deer in the timber and all the crp I'd have to walk through to get to the spot. Not sure which one he was but he was a no doubt shooter that much I know. He ran from the beans into the timber. I hope I just relocated him to the crp so I can get to my spot monday afternoon.
