So I use huntstand to check on what the current wind direction is but I had found a website before that showed me a daily history of the wind direction by month and day. I cannot find it and was curious what you all use to check current wind before you hunt and if at all sites to check wind history.
I’ve never checked out any that are mentioned by other guys but last year I downloaded windy.com and that seemed to tell me what I was looking for. I could actually zoom in on my specific spot on the maps Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I started using a weather app called Dark Sky and it has a decent amount of weather data that is easy to access. Other than that I use milkweed. I did also buy a bunch of extra large smoke bombs at the fireworks stand this year and after I hung my stands I would light one and watch how it carried. Another Wensel brothers trick.
Forgot what podcast I heard that on, I think its was Wired to Hunt and they were interviewing one of the Wensel bothers but I knew it was a gem when I heard it.
If you need a smoke bomb to tell where the wind is coming from can't help you, buy a bubble wand and put on pink camo and hunt.
