I have a canon G20 camera and I’m having issues after I film with watching it on a PC or uploading it from the SD card to my phone or PC or Facebook/YouTube.. everyone that uses this type of camera are you having the same issues as me? Or are you filming in a different video format?

Have you cleared and reformatted the card after uploading the video?

VLC and windows media player. The canon just records in a weird format instead of MP4

Are you talking about the MTS files? Having a problem on playback?

Do you just use the MTS files to create videos then?

I'm still fairly new to this, but I have the G40, which I believe is very similar to the G30. I would make sure that you have the video format set to MP4. I have no issues with my laptop, tv, or youtube reading the files.
