I have tentative plans to go on a OTC Colorado elk hunt sept. 15-21 Then I’ll be in Illinois Nov. 3-23 And I usually go to Alabama near the beginning of January. The rest will be at home in New Hampshire. Hillview Hunt Club

The area you are hunting in Wisconsin has some nice bucks, very nice buck. There was a massive buck that hung around the Walmart in Wausau, google it.
I was impatient after hunting really hard for 7 days and not seeing a single elk. By that point we were "brown/down". I shot her and as soon as I stepped into the clearing to check for blood the bull popped out from the same spot in the timber. Live and learn- but she sure filled the freezer real nice!
I have to go to Hawaii for work hope to just make it a 3 day trip, going to leave the fence on the plot until I get back, nobody is hunting till I am done hunting, may sound like a selfish jerk but it is my last season on the place that I bought and improved over the last 25 years.
We hunt in Scott and Greene counties. My family owns a house in Hillview Illinois. So whenever anyone has work off in the first three weeks of November they come to the house and hunt when they can. So I usually stay out there the whole time and either try get a deer my self or bring my grandpa, dad, younger brothers, cousins or uncles to the stand and drag and field dress deer for them if they get one. It’s my favorite time of year because I get to spend so much time in deer camp with family. Hillview Hunt Club

I am taking about 6 weeks this year. Colorado antelope, just came back from that Newfoundland Moose and woodland caribou Two weeks in Iowa, beginning of November Random days at home in NY A week in Arizona in Jan before the sheep show
I won't be leaving anywhere for the rut but it's nice having the MN gun season pushed back a little further into November than usual.
Colorado Archery Elk Sept 20-29 Northern Missouri Oct31-Nov4 Illinois December 5-8th for ML Then Oklahoma the rest of the year.
