Got a chance to scout my limited entry WMA today and let’s just say I found some promising spots. In fact, I’m a little torn which property to hit next week for the opener!

I walked back about a mile to a little finger draw that drops down from CRP. When I got back there I was looking around and another hunter came walking through. We chatted for a bit and he went on his way. They have 60 hunters on this piece so I’m not sure how crowded it’ll actually be, but hoping the distance and hills cut down on the number that make it back there. On my way out I walked right by two doe feeding in a bean field on the property.

Can’t wait for next Saturday to arrive!

Is there any spots that you could cross some sort of water to get away from other hunters?

Nope. It’s all wood lot and field with very minimal elevation change.

Thanks for sharing the video. Those are two really nice bucks. Just curious how far of a shot is it from your stand to the feeder?

It’s like 55 yards. The shot was just about 50.

Found this on page 2, 22 days and everyone's season will be in.

Have to see how the weather is opening weekend. If I can get a cold morning might make it out for a Friday morning hunt.

Work is set to ramp up in the next couple weeks, I'll give them October but November belongs to me, especially since it is supposed to stay busy through at least the middle of next year.

Well went and checked cams Sunday. Had alot of other stuff goin on so that's all I had time to do. But it was worth it.

The big wide one didn't show but pretty sure these will do. I'm mostly positive they're all same deer except maybe last one. But it's hard to tell. Hoping to out this weekend and check straps on stands and make sure shooting lanes are good. Then I'm staying away until first time I hunt. Not sure when that'll be but unless it's just really hot out I'll most likely make it out at least once opening week. Then I'll be hunting most weekends and any other day I can slip in for hunt after work. As long as don't get burnt out ha. Usually dont really ramp up hunting until around end of Oct. Pays off the same farm I hunt is same place shop is we start work from. And all my hunting gear will be migrating to truck after first hunt of the year. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Yeah, the last one was hard to tell. He's the same one as the pic above it, was hard to determine if the point ends were sharper or not.
