Looks like our hometown boy TJ is turning some heads in Detroit. Fun to have a local kid to follow. Tough place to start a career, but who knows. I'm sure the 20 million will spend the same.

First games of the season aren't always the greatest for any match up. That's why preseason needs to go, use training camp and scrimmages with other teams to set the roster. Practices don't get you game ready IMO, a teams defense isn't going to try to take put their offenses star QB. Aarron Rodgers hasn't faced a defense since his final game last year, Tribisky seems to be one of those 3-4 games to get in game shape QB's.

Was a matchup thay should have been week 3 or 4. The NFL recently went to all week 16 games end with every team facing a divisional opponent. SB champs used to open the season. My take on what they should do. Start the season with previous years seedings. 32 plays champs, 31 plays SB losers etc. Make the prior years seedings count for something the following year. Get rid of preseason, it serves no purpose that practices and scrimmages cannot iron out. Extend or don't extend the season, I don't care. Make certain that it is the teams responsibility to be prepared week 1, not the league giving away gimme games.
Actually the bears and packers suck, I feel a lot better about the Lions after watching that last night.
