What distance do you let your first set of arrows fly at when practice shooting?

I will usually start at 30 then move back to 40 and 50. I will occasionally shoot out to 60 and 70 but that is more just for fun to see how I group.

25 yards and out to 50. No further than that

Garage form shooting at 2 to 3 yds seems to really help me. All about the trigger pressure and form for me. If I can get solid form I can go right out and drill shots from 20 to 30 yds.

I do like you and start at 40 and then work my way in and then sometimes bounce back to in between distances.

Range I go to (at the Pro Shop) is 20 yards.
So I start and finish at 20 yards.

nothing much closer than 40. I like shooting at a deer target and if I get up closer I'll start hitting my previous arrows.

I shoot my first set at 30, this is my most common distance shooting whitetail so.. Then I back out 10 yards a set until I am at 50.

I start at 20 most of them, walk back to 30, 40, 50 and 60. Then Back in to a closer distance like 20 or 30.
