I swapped out the rest on my bow today. I decided to go back to the old whisker biscuit I've had for years. I did quite a bit of ground hunting last season and the NAP drop away wasn't the best option for that style of hunting. I also pulled a cam off a piece of public that I hunt and did some scouting this evening. Seen too many does, fawns, and young bucks to count. I managed to get eyes on one decent buck that may have been a 3yo.

Got a pic of another hunter in one of my spots that I wasn't expecting to see.

Well my dad took a trip to NJ yesterday and pulled the cards.. very disapointing, 1 buck and hardly any pictures of deer, I swear we have the only place in NJ with no deer. Today we went up around Selinsgrove PA where we have permission on a new family friends farm, we have put in 3 apple trees and two food plots, we put another 2 food plots in today and hung up 5 stands, also put a water hole in the middle of the property. We pulled the camera cards and found a ton of great bucks! come on October 5th! The Palmated 8 (One Eyed Jack) looks like he might be blind in one eye, I think he will be my number one this year!

I'm heading out to the western part of Wisconsin after work this morning. I've had one cam out on a spot we normally keep as a sanctuary. Been there since June. Going to sneak in and out and see what I got. I will post some pics later this afternoon. I just love that bluff country.

My son (ruttnutt) is hunting in Delaware today, still another 30 days for me. It's not fair!

27 days fellas, I keep telling myself I won’t hunt mornings, but we will see what happens. My plan is to only do afternoons in low impact stand spots. I think I push deer out by hunting early season mornings.
Oh well, it’s a good day when you get to watch nature do it’s thing.

I've got 12 more days until season opens here. I've got a few spots picked out local, but me and some friends always go to a new WMA for opening weekend.

Bear season opens today in MA. I may bring the muzzleloader in with me to do cams this weekend in case I see one. I don't bother to hunt them anymore, unless a big one comes in under me during deer season, but man there are alot of them around!

You're not on our team, Farley.

Forgive me as I've been out of town for a couple days. Do we have everyone checked in? Do we have a captain or a team name? Probably need to figure this stuff out.

I've had minor serving separation on almost all of my solocam bows, but that's pretty excessive, especially if that's a newer string. Not to plug ABB too hard, but that's one of the things I've been most happy with about their strings and cables. Little to no serving separation. Ever. IMO that's one of the big items that separates a really good string builder from the average joe building them in his garage as a side gig.

If the bow is shooting well I wouldn't worry about it right now, but after the season that would be on my list of things to replace.

As for bow shops, I used to use TAZ Archery in Woodstock but they shut down a few months back. I would say Fox Valley Archery is the go-to spot in this area. Pete's always treated me well and does nice work.

I was going with ABB or 60x for my next set, but I think they will be fine until the end of this season.

I just sent PM's to those three guys, hopefully we can get them checked in soon.

I'll handle captain duties if everyone is cool w/that.

As for team name - you guys tell me. I'm open to just about anything.
