That is one thing to consider first. I think I will index my nocks and use sharpies to mark possible tuning placement. I did this for my release strap. I used two diff metallic sharpie colors, drawing a line across the best fit buckle hole for anchor, form and groupings and a backup hole just in case . This way I consistently know where to buckle my release. The second best hole is tighter, but still anchors well and gets great groupings. I did the same for my backup release. Nock tuning will not help with this particular arrow, as I already tried that. I did a four fletch on half my arrows. For some reason, this particular arrow was not quite centered in the gap between the other vanes. It was the only arrow it happened to. The rest all turned out great.
Understand your dilemma. I see a utility knife as the start to solving that problem. If I'm heading down this road, this quickly snowballs... So I usually set the arrow aside and knock out a bunch at a time.
Hey guys, Glenn here from Long Island NY. Season here starts 10/1/19 and I`m ready to go like the rest of you!! Looking for a 140" to put down this season along with a lot of does!! Lets get it done! Have a safe and great season.
In a couple hours I am heading up on the mountain for a few days. Hopefully an Elk or Deer gets in my way. Everybody have a safe weekend
I have been Captain of my team once before. I am willing to do it again if no one else wants it. However, I am fine with someone else taking it if they would like the honors. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have been thinking about a team name. 19 is a prime number and the Transformers were an important part of my childhood. Maybe we can build something bowhunting related playing off of "Optimus Prime"? Maybe "Optibows Prime?" or something along those lines. I haven't had much coffee yet this morning. I can't remember him shooting a bow. Rodimus Prime did. Ok, I am nerding out way too much on a Friday morning before a long weekend.
Call us back after coffee! : ) I am good either way, hehehe! Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well, I bought my tags at the office on Thursday. Going to pick up a firearm tag since we can bowhunt in orange during those days. I’m losing enough days, so I can make up 7 days there. No cameras out this year, so I’m relying on history. Retirement is keeping me busy.
I know it’s not deer related but just got a call my half mount turkey is in the dry out stages and I should be able to pick him up in 3 weeks or so! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
