Looks like we have a lot of people hunting in big buck country! Good to see.

I live and work in Northern WI, but hunt primarily in SW WI. I also have a cabin with acreage in the UP of MI that I play around on. No kids for me so lots of alone time in the woods.
Apparently this year farmland gets me 4 doe tags with my archery license so there should be no shortage of chances for points on my end. Been around the 200pt club twice in this contest in the past. Hoping for more of the same this year.

The bowhunting in Kansas is awesome...compared to PA. The hunting pressure is low, the bucks get to grow older and the buck to doe ratio is pretty close. I've bow hunted the same farm since 2001 and managed to kill some good bucks. I try and hold out for a 150" or bigger so sometimes I come home empty handed. Hunting in Kansas has kind of ruined PA hunting for me but I still hunt in PA a little.

I figured it was much better. I have hunted in PA before someone in the NE side when we hunted a club in the early 2000's there. Don't remember the name but it never produced any big bucks even with all the land around. Glad Kansas has been treating you well.

That's great. Is that all from the same property?

Pastorjim checking in. Sorry for the delay. I'll be hunting Indiana and Ohio using a devil bow cause I'm too old to pull my compound anymore. Here's a buck I call Mr. Brows that I've had on camera quite a bit this year.[IMG][IMG]

ProTech checking in for 2019! Can't wait to get out in the woods this year. Hunting PA public/private land. October 5th is the first day here. Have a decent bachelor group on camera. 20190830_101623.jpeg

Yep, I hunt about 5000 acres. A lot of it are open fields but have a lot of draws and tree lines. Here are a few of the older pics killed on the same property.

I'm drawing a blank on a name, can't think of anything to go with the number 17.

I second the vote for Slugger as captain.

As much as I appreciate the recommendations I will be out on ship for about 2-3 weeks end of Sept into Oct. Doing a working for my next deployment. Just a heads up that I will be out of pocket for a couple weeks. When here though I will be getting a lot of hunting in and should still be pretty active on here. Up to you guys. I also am not to sure about any names. Let me do some thinking and will come post some up
