I've looked at it and definitely done a good bit of reading on the saddle and it definitely has my interest especially because I'm a 1st generation hunter and started from complete scratch in the gear dept which was made even worse when my girlfriend's mom handed me a crossbow two years ago and set me loose. Prior to that I'd only ever used my 12ga and only had 4 seasons under my belt with it. I'm hooked on archery hard though! Point is I have a climber and 1 ladder stand and while I do like the climber it is kind of a pain to carry in, last year I drove it to where I wanted to hunt in the rhino the night before and got it set up to where all I had to do was climb up in the morning, and not the most comfortable after 5 or 6 hours. I figured a saddle would be a ton more convenient but being a crossbow hunter idk how well it work for me with the tree being right there and I definitely prefer resting on the rail for the shot. Great video though Bob keep it up! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Name ideas: Team Noc 1 on, 1 noc above, booner bunch, paunch punchers, 1 buck at a time, team highlander, #1 contenders (with Rocky Balboa logo of course)...IDK just throwing some out.
Well we have everyone checked in. I will accept the nomination for captain unless there are objections. Team names brought up so far are “One-eyed Willies” and “1 For The Money.” Can add “Let 1 Loose.” Anyone else want to toss a team name out there.

Well just last weekend I ran a drillbit through my thumb while repairing the exhaust on one of the rhinos... that stung a bit! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Okay hey guys! Some familiar faces here on this team. We got lucky. I like one shot wonders as well. Beaverhead for captain is good with me. So a little about me and my summer. Life’s been pretty crazy. I graduated high school, worked all summer, and now I’m here at Clemson with all the small South Carolina deer. I’m honestly really liking it. Classes are already picking up speed and going well. I started practice for the club swim team yesterday so that’s another thing occupying my time. There’s also some fun around too I guess if one were ever to want it haha. As far as hunting, my time is going to be limited to breaks. I have some really solid ones though so I’m not as worried. I actually come home quite a bit. I forget the dates but I have them written down somewhere...they aren’t awful. Thursday we have no classes because of the first home game where we’re going to steamroll Georgia Tech and Friday I fly home after classes end. As for hunting, My dad leased a new piece of land in northwest Illinois for us to hunt together. It’s a good location so I’m excited for that. I put in a clover mix food plot behind my house this summer before I left and I think it’s coming along pretty well. I have a bunch of cameras soaking for when I get home and I’m frothing at the mouth from just thinking about checking them. I’m excited for the fall. Deer, undefeated football , changing leaves, and flannel have me yearning for some time in the tree. Looking forward to getting to know y’all. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
What are you planning to study at Clemson Shane? I've been ready for fall for about 4 weeks now, this hot weather crap is for the birds. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Beaver for captain sounds good to me. I like all the team names thrown out so far. One Shot Wonders has a couple votes so unless someone comes up with something that grabs everyone's attention, I am good with that name. Shane, congrats on finishing up high school and moving onto college. Work hard during that time in school and the rest of your years will be filled with lots of great hunting because of it! A little about me sense I have not really been active on this site for some time... I joined the forum back when I was graduating high school and was here for a couple years until school got real busy. Now I have been done with that for a couple years and have been hunting, fishing, and working my life away so I decided to come back to the forum. I am lucky to hunt in a high density deer area close to home. I pass on doe's pretty much nightly which makes for really fun evenings in the tree stand. I love watching deer. Even if I forgot my bow at home I would have no problem sitting in the tree for an evening just to see what walks by. That being said I love to eat deer to so 2-3 doe will end up in the freezer each year. As far as bucks go I have three tags this year but I am going to try and be patient and hold out for one good one. I would rather eat 2 tags and shoot one good one versus shooting one and then shooting a second just because "its a little bigger". Also fellas I work nights so during my work rotations I wont be around here as much during the day.. Looking forward to getting to know everyone on the team and sharing stories during the hunting season!
