Fellas, just know @pastorandrew while he is a Lions fan he really is an educated and nice man. He truly is a rare Lions fan in that sense...take it easy on him
Their number one pick this year (TJ) is from my hometown. He was in my office a couple weeks ago talking deer hunting. lol
Thanks man. I played golf in college and used to take it pretty seriously. Now, if I play five times a year, that's about normal. But, I always loved practicing chipping and putting. Weird, but I guess you could compare it to shooting tight groups with a bow. Just something about becoming proficient at it that is fun for me. My oldest son can't stay off that thing when he comes over. Its a lot of fun for sure. I'm so glad I finally built it.
Hello teammates!!! Daniel checking in!! Here is the deer I killed last year. Hopefully putting another like him on the ground this year!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Checking in yall. I'm from eastern oklahoma and primarily hunt public land all over the eastern part of the state. I've managed to put down a doe every year of the contest, and several bucks over the years. May be a little harder this year though as I am committing to my longbow. Cant wait to get in the woods. Thanks! Looking forward to being able to use the vertical bow again for sure. Best of luck to you also.
Mbcoyote checking in. Today was our opening day. Was/will be hunting on the ground for one of 2 bucks the next little while. THP style, I found the bucks a few days ago now I'm figuring out what they're doing. I think I know now. I almost got run over by 3 does today, pretty exciting. I watched 1 of the 2 bucks and 5 other deer from 100 yards out for the last 10 min before dark.
I live in Omaha NE but have some property 4 hours NW of Omaha along the Niobrara river. This is a buck one of my hunting partners took last year. Of course this camera was right next to one of my better stands, I was in another tree. My season starts Sept. 1. I will get a couple early hunts in but then take of a couple weeks off to bow hunt the rut. I don't rifle hunt so I usually pull a couple all day sits as the rifle hunters are pushing the deer around. Its been a couple years since I have got a buck so hopefully things change this year. My problem is I get too picky and hold out for the bigger bucks I know are around the area.
I wish I had that problem! Knowing there were bigger bucks! I hunt NC and haven’t seen but one buck I’d shoot. I’ve ran cameras since May. My season starts sept 7. We are a 2 buck state, and I’ll prob try and take the biggest buck I know of in bow season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
