If your were to raise the rest with your thumb only half way and then let go, does your rest fall back to it’s starting position? Or does it stay where you let go? I always thought that they lowered back to start if you didn’t lock in to full draw. Mine seems to be sticking. Any thoughts?
Take it to a shop but bring money because you will prolly need a new one. And hurry up it's almost time!!!!
I have a QAD HDX, if you were to let go before full cock the rest would go back down to flat (original position). Sounds like you have an issue with yours. Below is the contact info for QAD, try giving them a call/email and see what they can do for you. TECH SUPPORT If possible consult your Local Dealer for any questions/concerns. Whatever you do, DON"T oil it. Send it to QAD or have it sent for warranty. If you oil it, the warranty is void. Found out the hard way when shop guy oiled mine.
last year I got debris in mine when I pulled it through some branches while hoisting my bow into my stand. I couldn't get the arms to lock up and was able to finally figure out debris was the issue. It did ok for awhile then the launcher arms wouldn't fall all the way; not all the time just every once in awhile. I had the cord tied in, and checked to make sure the cord hadn't slipped on the bow or rest, and both were fine. Best I can figure out, something found it's way inside the rest and is causing the intermittent problem. I know I could probably send it to QAD to have it looked at, but honestly I no longer have confidence in it (a mental thing) and went back to a WB.
Simple solution..........shoot a whisker biscuit! And before you go to bashing on me I am only kidding. I shoot one but you cant shoot whatever floats your boat Sent from my SM-G892A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Thanks guys! I have had this bow and rest since 2013 with no issues. Always have a great bow shop work on it. Last week I took it in to have them check everything and then ran in to this issue. I will take it back and see if they can fix it but wanted to make sure I was right in saying it should not stay at a half cocked position. I like those whisker biscuits too but not sure I could trade my Qad away. It’s been solid all this time.
But shoot them a call or email they should get ya squared away, but this is probably their busy time too so it might take a little longer than usual
I still run them on both bows. And have spare on the shelf. Have been lucky enough to find some deals on some classifieds. And I agree it's a mental thing. I have no confidence going back to a biscuit as far as accuracy.
After trying to get the rest to move it seems to be getting better. Are rubber O-rings inside that need some lube? The arm is stainless so I can’t see rust being an issue.
THIS! And DON"T oil it. TECH SUPPORT If possible consult your Local Dealer for any questions/concerns.
