Oh yeah does are like mice up here. Definitely not a challenge to put meat in the freezer. That's how my story usually goes get to the stand one day and boom tagged out in under an hour. One time I was getting my bow pulled up had a big 10 come out of a 150ft ravine walked 25 yds and stopped in front of me but couldn't keep moving otherwise I would of been busted. He walked away got 100yds and I hit the black rack on him. Made him mad but he wasn't stupid. Then I snort wheezed him and he came back but circled the pond I hunt and got almost downwind of me. He let out a snort wheeze that made me sound like a furby. Most impressive thing I've ever heard at 35yds. I couldnt call cause he would of pinged me in the tree. He wandered off and I could never get him to come back. You just never know what to expect down in southern but always be ready cause it happens fast! Makes me all excited just thinking about October coming soon!
I know there are others with the same sentiment, but I thoroughly enjoy following your season, it's like reality TV. Always a good follow and can't wait to see what this season brings for you and your father; hopefully it's a monster buck, but the time together should be great!
That's for sure, I wasn't even close to ready for that buck, made a crap shot but luckily it was good enough to allow me to get a follow-up shot on him. I started following your Instagram page, I don't post much, but usually more during hunting season.
Thanks brother!!! I’m looking forward to following your saddle adventures this season! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had an old toxonic on my bow and all the fiber was breaking so I got a 3 pin helix. Getting it sighted in tonight. Sure is a nice night for it. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Man.. you know you’re struggling with the wait for opening day when you teach your dog to play “ready for field dressing”...
Well fellas, the taliban almost got me, make sure you are super hydrated while scouting in this damn heat. Had to sit under a tree for a good 30min to cool down; not today taliban, not today. Didn’t see anything worth a damn while scouting, damn place is thicker than Vietnam. I’ll have to just try again on a cooler morning.
Be careful out there! I think I'm gonna cruise some public tonight to see where and what the crops are this year. Probably wont get far from the truck at all if I even get out of it. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Someone needs to start the live from the stand 2019 thread. We have some guys starting their seasons very soon.
Parts of VA are going to be in a drought condition soon. I drive over several major rivers and when Ive gone fishing, the water levels are extremely low. I looked at the ten day forecast and only one day calls for a short burst of thunderstorms. Not good.
