I finally learned cheap cams can work as long as good cams ,if they don't, well I can by several for the price of a good one. I've tried every "main stream" camera made and after several ," what went wrong isn't fixable" once this or that stops the camera is dying. So son bought me a cheap Amazon Apeman cam 39.00 3 yrs ago and it's still working. I think the reason is I put visors on all my cams using gorilla tape. I fold the tape over to make a stiff " visor " I then that to a piece of narrower tape will attach starting just behind the door seam across the top of cam. This keeps dripping rain and snow off the front and keeps water or moisture from seeping in the door from the top. I could be wrong but these off brand cams are lasting years.
Actually sounds like a good idea. You might have something there which could make you some money. Some thin, black aluminum bent to fit the camera shape and some double sided sticky tape. I bet people would buy them. We, hunters in general, spend a crap ton of money on other various hunting gear. Why not this?
So this was fast and cam bigger , broken spypoint, it took an extra piece of tape to get it out farther. But so simple not noticeable really.
