Just kind of curious what the average might be on properties and stands you have? I hunt 2 different private properties. I have 3 stands on one and 5 stands on the other.

We have our own block of woods with a hunting club membership, which is the way things are mostly done in the South, unless you hunt public land. The block is around 100 acres.

I have a ground blind set up for my wife to gun hunt along a sand ridge that's a natural crossing for pigs and deer.

I hunt from a ladder stand on the eastern end of the same sand ridge. We're about 150 yards apart. Both spots are really edgy and transition tightly from a cypress bottom and some bay bush thickets.

I used to have other stands out but honestly, as a weekender, I can only hunt one spot sufficiently during the season. So I pulled the others down, despite having deer and pigs on cam there. I just don't have an interest in letting metal rust unused. LOL.

I have 20 on 200ac. But during the rut we will still use climber to hunt areas we do not go into any other time of the year.

I use my LW sit and climb all the time on Public Land. I also have the LW Assault hang-on, but it just sits in the corner.

You can never have enough sets..Oh a blind chair, 2 climbers and this year saddle hunting.

I just finished up my 7th stand today. Got one more to get in. Think I'll be putting it in a transition area between 2 oak ridges coming off a large bedding area. Should be a decent spot. I'll post pics of it once it's done.

I use 1 ladder stand but I pry only use it on 5% of my hunts.... it’s located on a trail on the edge of a 60 acre “bush” as we call it in SK..
I also built a brush blind with the help of some camo burlap that I hope to hunt from...
Most of my hunts I end up hiking in and tucking myself in behind brush and grass and/or a fallen tree or whatever else is available for cover ( silence is the best camo IMO) in an area where I’ve watched deer feeding recently while farming or glassing from the roads.. I have access to lots of land but it’s mostly farmland and our deer density is low compared to the eastern US , probably 5-10 deer per sq mile on average .. although it would be higher on and around public land around lakes where there is more cover..
bow hunting is quite rare in our area so there is plenty of elbow room in the early season

I want to add that all stand sets are set up to cover an area for the wind. In other words within sight of each other and groups of 4 . This is a high density for both deer and hunters. They travel every where It's also hill country of mixed timber and open fields with gullys and ridges. Winds come from everywhere as well. IE, a storm rolled through the other day and I had to close every window in the house because rain was blowing in all of them ,even on the deck side that has a roof over a 10 wide deck.

2 properties 500 + acres. 26 tree stands and 11 ground blinds. I have an old Amaker adjuster deluxe magnum climber that gets used when a hot spot shows up during the rut, and there are no stands close by to hunt out of.
